| Support The Neighborhood School Kids!
Welcome all new and returning families! It's a new year of Neighborhood School PTA activity and a renewed commitment to support our kids whatever way we can. The wonderful variety of daily activities and experiences they have every day are completely dependent on our ability to finance them. This year fundraising is more important than ever. Department of Education budget cuts will affect the school's ability to pay for these vital programs and materials.
PTA PAYS COMMITMENT FOR PROGRAMMING:
- Music Program: Third Street Music School Miles Program - $17,000
- Art Program: Studio in the School with Valerie Hammond and Cathy Ramey - $10,310
- Science: Pre-K thru 5th Technology with Teb Locke - $2,000
- Class Trips: all grades (subsidy provided) - $3,500
- Camp Trips : 3rd & 4th-5th grades (subsidy provided) - $24,000
- Classroom Supplies & Teachers' Support - $10,000
2007-2008 budget estimates an expenditure of approximately $350 per child
Imagine what your child's day would look like if we didn't off these programs.
The Neighborhood School mission is to give our children a real quality education. Without these supplies, programs, and areas of study, our children will not get what we believe they deserve, and none of us would be parents of Neighborhood School children.
